I again apologise for the fact I barely blogged in the last month (over three weeks since my last real post), but I guess I’m currently going through one of those drought periods of blogging that have plagued me in the past. It’s usually at this point I end up completely forgetting about my blog and shutting it down. But I’m determined not to do that.
Anyway, on to what I want to talk about: I’m a fairly regular user of Bebo (the social networking system, for those not aware), although not as much as I once was, for reasons I shall explain.
The “remember me” option when you log in to Bebo only last for two weeks, and when I went over to the site after work today, I had to log in. Upon doing so, I see this:

Argh. This is one of the many reasons why Bebo has turned to complete shit. First off, it was the themes, and the ability for members to create their own. This leads to most people’s pages turning into something reminiscent of the average MySpace page: my eyes being raped. But, I found a decent theme that was easy on the eyes, add did most of my (good) friends, so it was too much trouble. Then the applications came. So, now, once your eyes are being fucked by horrible design and colour combinations, you get the added enjoyment of having 200-foot long pages filed to the brim with “super-comments”, “countdown to my birthday”, “what kind of kisser are you?”, “which celebrity are you most likely to butt-fuck”, etc, etc. Argh.
But, I still stuck with it, since the majority of my friends have Bebo and not Facebook (mostly for the lack of themes or something similar). But not, this is getting ridiculous. The spam is no longer tolerable. Sure, at first it was a little funny, in a weird kind of way, getting a friend request from a “porn model”, or a private message from someone who thinks I’m “cute and wud lyk to get to kno me heres my msn addy kthxbi”. But now, I’m getting a good few of these friend requests a week, and a private message at least once a day. I’m just about ready to ditch Bebo completely.
Anyway, that’s all from me for now. I’ll try and write a decent post sometime when I’m not working my ass off or two busy playing with my friends on Xbox Live,

A lot of amazing LOLtastic “MySpace” poses going on in those default pics! Heh
I used to use Hi5 a while back, and it has also gotten quite intolerable — nothx!
Kaylee Says:
I can’t even remember if I signed up for Bebo in the past or not. Everyone I know uses Facebook, which is quite tolerable (especially with the new layout that makes apps so much easier to ignore).
Those pictures made me laugh SO HARD
I get so many random friend requests from strange guys, although their pictures are rarely as “creative”.
Lilian Says:
Why did you reject my friend request? I’m the fifth hoe-bag down… or at least with some surgery I could be. Dude, get a Facebook. Your friends will inevitably follow after you spam them out with invites.
Clem Says:
I find it weird that people still use Bebo.
All my friends had it two years ago, and I thought it looked unbearably stupid, so I never bothered signing up. In fact, I was probably the last out of all of them to get Facebook. I agree with Lil, though - you should get Facebook. It’s not perfect, but from what I’ve seen/heard, it’s the best social networking site.
Gary Says:
Most of these social networking sites suck anyway. And if there’s one thing I refuse to sign up to is, Facebook. Stick to forums Mister Joe Joe. SMF powered forums in particular.
Jana Says:
Heh.
It’s been shit ever since the orig owners sold out out to AOL. I did research. Those bot things leaving the porn messages etc are actaully paid to do so. Apprently AOL thinks “The users won’t mind”
Bloody Americans aye?
I JOKE.
farah Says:
facebook > bebo.
although i have to say, the same thing happens to me on facebook, but with creepy men instead of porno girls.
irritating. D:

Danial Hevesy Says:
Can someone please persuade me to acquire a 360. give me good reasons to buy a xbox360 that aren’t: ”better online” - p2p gaming may be the very same everywhere, twitter and netflx are nothing. ”better” games - ps3 gets the similar as xbox and others i cant play on PC improved graphics - multiplatform games are mainly the identical
